Landscape Paintings
The act of painting in nature - for me - is not heroic. It is rather a small act of appreciation and annunciation.
The history of art is full of landscape paintings. Artists have worked to capture physical, emotional, psychological, and visual relationships with the land from our earliest expressions in paint.
My landscapes continue that tradition as a practice and meditation. Through the act of painting I balance the whirring pace of a technologically informed commuter lifestyle with stillness and sustained intensity of focus.
